Golden Cane Palm
A golden cane is a clump, not a single plant. That tidy pot of arching fronds is usually several seedlings grown together, and every cane in it is one stem...
No. It ships flat and empty, without media or zip ties, so you can fill it with whatever suits your plant. Our Tree Fern Fibre is a good place to start.
A coir pole is the support and the media in one, so once it breaks down or the roots grow through it, the whole thing is finished. The Propstick Forty separates the two. The plastic frame lasts, and you only replace the media. That also means you choose the media rather than being locked into coir.
It’s designed for a 100mm pot. With the wider tab setting it fits pots from 80mm up to 160mm.
For the firmest hold, drill holes in the back wall of the pot, zip-tie the pole to it, then backfill. If you don’t want to drill, burying it in the mix works fine. For hanging pots, zip-tie it through the drainage holes at the base. Zip ties aren’t included.
Yes. Release the butterfly tabs, the pole opens to free the plant, then refill it for the next one.
Black Eco is 90% kerbside-recycled plastic. Clear is non-recycled and fully transparent, so you can see inside.

A pot isn't sterile. But there's no soil outside it moving back in — what lives there is mostly what went in with it

Fertiliser doesn't fix a plant. It fuels one that's already growing. Most of the time people reach for it, that's not the plant they've got.
A fern that doesn't behave like a fern. No feathery fronds, no misting ritual, no sulking the moment the air dries out.
