Indoor Plant Food Refill

30 reviews
$38.00

If you love our Indoor Plant Food to get your plants growing and thriving, now level up with our 500ml glass refill bottle.

Designed by us, proud-plant nerds, our liquid Indoor Plant Food is a special formulation of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (N.P.K), trace elements and seaweed as a superfood your plants will drink up.

It's almost completely odourless and comes with its own marked dropper for exact measurements and minimal waste. Just one bottle will make up to 100L of plant fertiliser.

Simply add the concentrate to your watering can at 1ml/litre, and water your plants as usual. No need to add any extra steps to your plant care routine - just add once and water in. Feeding should be done fortnightly while your plants are actively growing.

Made in Melbourne, designed by horticulturalists (a.k.a our nerdy selves).

Shake before using.

Add 1ml of Indoor Plant Food to 1 litre of water and water your plants as normal.

To keep your plants well fed, fertilise every 2-4 weeks over Spring and Summer or while your plants are actively growing. You can reduce feeding to once every 6 weeks at half strength over Winter.

For sensitive plants, feed at half strength.

Store out of direct sunlight.

Can be used as a foliar spray when added to a mister.

FAQ

How often should I fertilise my plants?

Over Spring and Summer (or while your plants are actively growing) we recommend using our Indoor Plant Food every second watering.

Over Autumn and Winter, plants generally slow down their growth so they don’t need as much fertiliser. For this period we recommend 1/2ml once every 4 waters.

If your plants are still actively growing (so putting out new growth) you can continue to fertilise at the regular dilution and rate of once a month.

Can I use in passive hydro?

Yes, our Indoor Plant Food works wonderfully in passive hydro. Add ½ ml with every water change, while plants are actively growing.

What is the shelf life of your Plant Food?

Our Indoor Plant Food has a shelf life of 5 years.

What is the dilution rate?

1ml/litre of water.

Is your Plant Food ok for Orchids?

Yes, it can be used for orchids.

Can I use it on outdoor plants?

Yes, it is fine to use on outdoor plants too.

Can I use on veggies?

Yes, you can use it on your vegetable and herb gardens. Remember to always wash the produce prior to eating.

Is your fertiliser a complete feed?

Yes, our fertiliser contain both Macro (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium) and Micro (boron, iron, manganese, zinc, copper and molybdenum) nutrients, so your plants won’t want for anything.

My Plant Food is lighter/darker than last time, has something changed?

Yes and no. It’s the same product, with the same NPK and macro/micro nutrient values. The only thing that's different would be the batch of seaweed we’ve added. Our seaweed is shore harvested and not from a consistent source, so depending on where it comes from and the variety it is, it will change the colouring slightly.

Understanding Fertiliser

We created our Indoor Plant Food because we realised so many people had been overlooking the importance of it.  A good fertilising regime will keep your plants looking happy and healthy.

How to fertilise plants in water? AKA Passive Hydro

Passive hydro (or passive hydroponics) is a type of hydroponic growing method that requires no recirculating systems, and instead supplies water only beneath the plant roots to be used by the plants.

Slow Release vs Liquid Fertiliser: When to use and what is the difference?

When talking about slow release fertilisers, we are talking about any fertiliser (synthetic or organic) that has been pelletised or produced as something that will slowly release nutrients into the soil over a period of time.
